FORM 1- Information sheet about the job:

Working at a watercraft rental can be different from other jobs, there is a lot of hard work along with a lot of fun, but you get to work outside on the beach right the lake. You will also get to meet people from all over the world that will have a good time with your help.

A typical day for a Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals employee will involve all aspects of operating a watercraft rental. We interact with customers, put customers on boats, skis and kayaks and send them out to have fun. But, there are procedures that must be followed and paperwork that must be filled out before and after each rental, which include safety instructions, inspections, rental forms, rules and regulations, and hour meters. Some duties will be performed everyday throughout the day, however, some duties will be performed on an as needed basis such as, fueling the machines, maintenance, answering calls, taking reservations, etc..... Everyday there are procedures for opening and closing the rental location and summary sheets tabulating the day's operation. Specific care of the watercraft and customer relationships must be followed. Every customer is very important. Your friendliness and professionalism will be demonstrated to all that you come in contact at work and on the island. There usually isn't any heavy lifting, but there are times when you might be asked to perform tasks that include some lifting. However, we always think of safety first and there is never a reason to get injured on the job or do something that is beyond your ability. If you don't know how to do something yet we will instruct you so there is never a doubt how to do a task quickly and safely.

There are plenty of smiles and fun times from customers and employees, but this is a serious job because you are in charge of people's safety. Learning your job well and following procedures will direct you how to handle yourself at all times.

Our season starts just before Memorial Day Weekend and goes through Labor Day Weekend, although preparation for the season starts well before. We are open everyday 10-6 weather permitting and you will often be required to show up early and stay late if sales permit to earn extra hours when possible. There are also possibilities for other work unrelated to watercraft rentals to help get you more hours. We need employees for full-time, part-time work, as well as possible managerial positions.

If all that sounds great, then copy and paste the information below in an email to along with your Skype or Facetime information and we will schedule a time to speak with you soon!
